The story of Jamberry Nails begins with three sisters who possess
distinct personal tastes, but share a love for style. After an
expensive afternoon together at the nail salon, Lyndsey, Christy and
Keri vowed to find a simpler, more cost effective way to keep their
hands looking polished, while still spending time together.
After lots of trial and error, the proprietary nail wraps of Jamberry
Nails launched in late 2010. The DIY, at-home application and incredible
variety of designs caught on quickly and sales soared. A new era of
nail art was born. Gone are the days of nails that chip and flake after only a few days!
Gone are the days of the single colored manicure. Gone are the
mani/pedis that take all afternoon and most of your cash too! Jamberry
nail wraps arm you with style and confidence while demanding very little
of your time or money.
My wonderful Consultant, Michelle asked me to review a set of Jamberry nails, the application kit, plus a set for Lily (Jamberry Juniors). Jamberry is similar to the Sally Hansen Salon Strips, these are decals that adhere to your nails. You then shape and file them to match your nail shape. What I love about about them is the huge array of designs, colors and finishes you can buy. I was really intimidated by the application process at first. You have to get a hair dryer (or some other heat source out) and essentially melt the material ever so slightly so it become malleable and can adhere to your nail. But, I watched the how-to video created by Jamberry and felt fairly confident about the whole process by the end of it. (And of course with the help of my sister) They're easier to apply than you may think, and Jamberry includes all that you need in the nail wrap package!
Here’s what you do:
1. Clean nails with the alcohol wipe provided and push back cuticles.
2. Match nail to the best fitting nail wrap and remove from sheet.
3. Warm with a blowdryer for 3-5 seconds, until soft and flexible.
4. Press wrap onto the nail, sealing with the cuticle pusher.
5. Trim the top of the wrap with scissors and file excess using a downward motion.
6. Heat your nail once more to make sure the wrap is completely sealed to the nail.
And that's it! Instant, beautiful nails that last. They're more hygienic
than gel nails, last longer than a polish, and you can purchase a lot
of neat designs that you otherwise wouldn't be able to paint yourself!
One sheet has 18 individual wraps, and because you can cut them in half
you end up with 3-4 applications. Lily's nails lasted almost a week which is long for a 6 year old! I've taken her to salons and her manicures will usually last ONE day, if that! I'm extremely impressed with Jamberry! Lily loved the wraps Michelle sent her, and hasn't stopped talking about her nails. We will be purchasing more Jamberry Juniors nail wraps very SOON!

ReplyDeletehehehe i think thats because as a kid, you didnt do all the chores/housework you do now. dishes, cleaning, scrubbing :)
DeleteI've never heard of Jamberry before nor have I tried any other kind of nail wrap. My nails are always in a state of some form of breakage unless they are cut down to the fingertip. I don't feel they look very good with polish, but I must say using something is better than having man hands like my husband says I do :(. I love that Jamberry also provides a junior size for the little ones. My girls would be ALL OVER this.
