Tonguespank Spice Company Review♥

Tonguespank Spice Company is a Chicago company specializing in making boring foods exciting! While I'm not a huge fan of spicy food, I was extremely excited to try Tonguespank Spices. The trio they sent, part of their Liquor and Heat collection, are called Citrus Rum, Garlic Grappa, and Smoky Bourbon.

Citrus Rum
Our Citrus Rum blend is straight from the Caribbean. You can use it in island dishes like jerked chicken, or you can go the other way with it and add it to cider, hot chocolate, and various other treats. Look out for the kick, though: it sneaks up on you.

Garlic Grappa
Mm..garlic! Our Garlic Grappa blend is like opening the door of an Italian kitchen. Sprinkle liberally on pizza, pasta, and seafood. Add it to olive oil and dip your bread in it. Or, skip the extra step add it to buttered bread: instant garlic bread!

Smoky Bourbon
Our Smoky Bourbon blend adds just the right amount of smoky burn, and the depth and complexity of good bourbon. Use it like hot sauce! Sprinkle on eggs, pizza, baked potatoes, chili, steaks, burgers, pork chops, barbecue, ribs, etc.

My fiance is a huge fan of Bourbon spices so I just knew he'd love these. We've used all the spices and really enjoyed them! My favorite is definitely the Smoky Bourbon. I've used it on just about everything but I have to say it's best on Barbecue Chicken! The Garlic Grappa has a really nice flavor to it. I've used it in pasta sauce and on garlic bread. The Citrus Rum has a kick to it, my mom used it on her Jerk Chicken and it was delicious!

Although I live in South Louisiana, I am not a fan of something too spicy. But everything needs some type of spice to add flavor.
