Devoted to "Fun with a Purpose," Highlights for Children, Inc. has helped children become their best selves for generations. Its flagship publication, Highlights magazine, the most recognizable and widely-read children's magazine in the nation, printed its billionth copy in June 2006. Other Highlights offerings include the magazine for children 2-6, Highlights High Five, Highlights for Children Book Clubs (Puzzlemania, Mathmania, Which Way USA?, Top Secret Adventures, and Hidden Pictures Playground). High Five (ages 2 - 6)
High Five helps you encourage your child’s development and gives you an ideal opportunity for one-on-one fun together. Each monthly issue brings 40 pages of read-along stories and poems, simple crafts and recipes, learning games, puzzles for beginners and other activities that can set your child on the path to becoming a lifelong learner. Every page reinforces skills that prepare preschoolers for reading, math and other areas of learning. High Five also offers positive role models and constructive activities that help build character and self-confidence. I can't recommend this magazine enough, it's such a fun and educational product. My 3 year old loves it (and I enjoy reading it to her!) The illustrations are bold, bright & beautiful, and the activities are age appropriate. An added bonus is that the pages are sturdier than your average magazine and will keep relatively well. The issues are all so beautiful that I will keep them for a few years, to be read and reread until my daughter outgrows them.
