Disney On Ice: Treasure Trove Review♥

This past Wednesday, Disney on Ice and Feld Entertainment invited my family to be there guest at Disney on Ice Treasure Trove in Hartford, Ct. Today I thought I would share with you my review of Disney On Ice: Treasure Trove. This was our second time attending a Disney on Ice show and we truly experienced a bit of Disney magic last night. The awe in my girls eyes and smiles on their faces could have qualified for a Disney commercial. Disney is a master at creating family entertainment that is not only flashy and fun but strikes a sentimental chord between parents and children.

About the show: Disney On Ice: Treasure Trove
Disney On Ice sets the gold standard with a skating spectacular filled with classic Disney moments. Get tangled up in Disney's 50th animated feature with Rapunzel and Flynn and enter the worlds of your favorite Disney princesses: Ariel, Belle, Cinderella, Jasmine, Aurora, Tiana, Mulan and, of course, the one who started it all, Snow White. Ahoy, Mateys! Set sail with Peter Pan, the always sassy Tinker Bell and the cantankerous Captain Hook & his pirate pals on an adventure beyond Never Land! Trek the wilds of Africa with Simba, Nala, Pumbaa and Timon as they discover the true meaning of the ‘Circle of Life.’ Tick-Tock! Tick-Tock! Don’t be late to a very important date with Alice & the Mad Hatter as they march with the Queen of Hearts’ Army Of Cards. You won’t want to miss this show full of Disney treasures to remember.
Favorite Moments: (may contain spoilers)
  • My girls really loved seeing Peter Pan and Tinkerbell "fly" through the air and land ever so gracefully on the ice.
  • The Wildebeest stampede in The Lion King was incredible. The thunderous music coupled with the beautiful moving scenery captivated the whole audience. Sophia even cried!
  • The lanterns from Rapunzel were perfect.
Overall, Treasure Trove was magical, enjoyed by all of us and was a great way to spend time together as a family. There's nothing quite like a live performance. The routines in the show contain a fun mix of jumps, unusual tricks using props and costumes, romantic ice-dancing, and purposeful bloopers for comedy. The costumes are incredible. The characters look like they could have stepped out of the original Disney films. The stories include fun side characters such as Sebastian from The Little Mermaid, Green Army Men from Toy Story, Timon and Pumbaa from The Lion King, and Captain Hook and Smee from Peter Pan. The princesses include: Ariel, Jasmine, Cinderella, Belle, Tiana, Rapunzel, Snow White, and Aurora. And the music was just perfect!

There's nothing like seeing your favorite characters come to life, it's an experience my girls won't soon forget. They loved the show. My oldest Lilyana sang every song and was excited the entire time. Sophia my youngest was very into the show, like I said above she cried to the Lion King. When I asked them what they enjoyed best, Lilyana said "watching Jasmine and Aladdin "fly" on the magic carpet" and Sophia said "Minnie Mouse."
