Do you love a good series? I know I sure do. Especially one that I can relate to and makes me think about life on a whole new level. Am I right? Well, let me introduce you to my new obsession,
Queen of the South. Have you heard about it? Yes, no, maybe so? I'm sure by reading the title you can guess what it might be about. And let me just say Teresa is hands down my FAVORITE! A girl who has enough strength to do the things she's done definitely has my vote. I'm so ready to share more about this wonderful series with you.
Season 1 is all about Teresa, a refuge in America. She fell in love with her boyfriend in Mexico, hoping it would bring her peace of mind, but only to have her life go downhill after her boyfriend dies. With her
strength, commitment, and cleverness she rose to queen pin and built her own empire! It really is a very captivating story and I am truly in love with
Queen of the South. Watching Teresa's life unfold and all that she goes through gives me a sense of hope and strength, that I can overcome obstacles in my life. Big or small.
Teresa and I may not have the same story but I think we all have similar stories. I've been a Stay at home mom for 9 years. I've always dreamed about finally becoming a working mom, plans changed when we decided to have Baby #3 (Yes, I'm still very pregnant, 38 weeks!) I'm always faced with some pretty hard challenges and I tend to question "why me" very often. But at the end of the day, I never give up, in-spite of it all. My girls are very fortunate to have me home and I wouldn't change it for the world. So I guess you could say I'm Queen of my house ;) and I know one day that's going to change, but one day at a time, right?
While this series is still pretty new, Season 1 just finished up and ended with a BANG, making me want more, of course. Season 2 is right around the corner, June 8th to be exact and I am sure it will be more captivating with new twists and plots. I'm so EXCITED! The new season of
Queen of the South premieres Thursday, June 8th 10PM/9PMc on USA. I hope you will be watching with me!
I wish I am able to get this station in my neck of the woods. This sounds like a good series to binge watch. I will try some other avenues to start watching this show. Thanks for the head's up!

ReplyDeleteSomebody told me to watch this, and I was like, "Yeah, whatever." One episode. One episode is all it took. I love this show.

ReplyDeleteI have not watched this yet but my husband and I tend to let something go a few seasons then do a binge watch of it. We always worry a show will get canceled as soon as we get into it but this seems to be around to stay!

ReplyDeleteI haven't seen shows on USA since we cut our cable and went back to antenna tv. Will keep an eye out for if the show makes it to hulu or netflix.
