Pasta is a huge thing in our house, so I am constantly keeping things like Ragu and Spaghetti in stock. For this recipe I used ingredients that I almost always have in our house. You can also use your Slow Cooker on two different settings. Low for 5 - 6 hours or high for 2 - 2.5 hours. This time around I wanted to try a new sauce and cheese, so I went with Ragu Six Cheese sauce instead of my usual Ragu Traditional Sauce and I used fresh mozzarella. It definitely made a difference, next time around I want to try a different Ragu sauce, maybe Tomato, Garlic & Onion or Spicy Italian Style. Which Ragu sauce would you try for this recipe?
Here is the recipe for my Slow Cooker Stuffed Turkey Meatballs:
Slow Cooker Stuffed Turkey Meatballs
Ingredients:
1 Pound of Ground Turkey or Beef
1/2 Pound of Sweet Italian Sausage
1 Jar of Ragu Six Cheese Pasta Sauce
Fresh Mozzarella Cheese
1/2 tsb of Garlic Powder
2 tbsp of Italian Seasonings
1 tsb of Salt
1 tsb of Pepper
1 cup of bread crumbs
1/4 cup of parmesan cheese
2 Eggs
1/2 cup of Whole Milk

Slow Cooker Stuffed Turkey Meatballs
Cut Fresh Mozzarella into 3/4 inch cubes. Store in refrigerator while preparing the meat
In a large mixing bowl combine your meat, spices, bread crumbs, milk and eggs
Roll golf ball sized balls with the meat mixture
Squish mozzarella cube into the center and pull the edges of the meat ball around it until it is a new ball again
Arrange meatballs in Slow Cooker and cover in Ragu sauce
Cook on low for 5 - 6 hours or high for 2 - 2.5 hours.
Place Stuffed Turkey meatballs on cooked Spaghetti
Garnish your dish with parmesan cheese
